i must sadly report that your number three from the top of your seven falls into number twelve of your fifteen

No, I wouldn't say so :-)
This is a n. 12 non street photo: [link]
I know what you mean about the feature n. 3 belonging to street photography because the photographer knows the subject. Nevertheless it has the street feeling. It is candid, unstaged, it shows a meaningful interaction between the elements, it is a thought out photo.

blah blah... sorry, but this advocating changes nothing - the only people actually reading it are street photographers, who know their stuff anyway... so what's the point? to whine about how other's bs photos are considered street next to your high art? that is childish... anyway i did enjoy your lists :)

maybe I should put a disclaimer in my journals stating that my journals are not word of god

Well I was kind of hoping that people new to street photography would get interested and read my journals :D . Expert street photographers won't find anything new in my journals. Because I am an amateur myself, and because theory helps up to a point.
I do not consider my photos high art, believe me. I will never point at my photos as examples or take them too seriously.
